ویکتور بولوگان در تمام عمرش پیرک باز ی میکرد و اینگونه شرح میداد که چرا این شروع بازی را دوست دارد: (( استاد بزرگ های قوی استادهای بین المللی و یاحتی اماتورها نیز گاهی اوقات از من میپرسند که در مواجه شدن با 1e4اگر میخواهند با سیاه بازی را ببرند چه بازی کنند .
بعضی وقت ها من به آنها میگویم که فقط شروع بازی خودتان را بازی کنید و آن را تا حد توان به خوبی بازی کنید .
اما بعضی وقت ها شما میخواهید یا نیاز دارید که حریفتان را از حیطه آرامشش و همچنین از تدارکاتش دور کنید.
این اغلب در مسابقات اوپن(فکری)اتفاق میفتد جایی که شما با هر دو رنگ برای برد بازی میکنید.
من در تمام عمرم پیرک مدرن بازی کردم و مرا بسیار به موفقیت نزدیک کرد.برای مثال :درسال 1997در شهر نیویورک این شروع بازی قویترین شروع بازی آن زمان بود من 4 بازی به وسیله پیرک مدرن با مهره سیاه بردم این مسئله کمک زیادی در قهرمانی من در آن تورنومنت کرد.
پیرک مدرن معمولا ترکیب بازی پیرک کلاسیک و کاروکان است .
در بسیاری از بازی ها سیاه ایده های پیرک کلاسیک را درحالی که فیانکتو کردن فیل در ان بسیار مهم است را با ایده جدال برای مرکزبا c6-d5ترکیب میکند .
پیرک مدرن بسیار تغییر پذیر است و شروع بازی بسیار غنی است. با مطالعه پیرک مدرن قطعا شما مغز خودتان را با طراوت میکنید و بسیار ایده های جدید یاد میگیرید.
